Answers to basic questions about deferred payment repayment

1. Who can claim a deferment?

KAF clients, small and medium-sized businesses affected by the introduction of an emergency regime in Kazakhstan, can get a delay.

2. Under what contracts can a grace period be granted?

All loans / leasing issued by KAF until March 16, 2020, payments on which fall on the period from March 16 to June 15, 2020. Customer applications are considered individually. Deferral is granted to customers, which confirms the deterioration in financial condition due to the announced emergency mode - reduction in the volume of goods and (or) services sold, delays, suspension, postponement of payment terms from buyers / suppliers, etc.

3. How long is a grace period granted?

Deferral is granted from March 16 to June 15, 2020 inclusive.

4. What documents are needed to obtain a deferment?

A client’s application is submitted for a deferral, as well as documentary evidence of a decrease in the volume of goods and (or) services sold, delays, suspension, postponement of payment terms from buyers / suppliers, reduction in the number of employees or for other objective reasons during the state of emergency. Such documents may include:

  • contracts for the supply of manufactured products;
  • notice on the suspension of purchased products from the buyer;
  • certificate of availability of finished products / inventory / work in progress;
  • a written statement from suppliers on the suspension of the supply of raw materials / products;
  • acts of disposal / destruction of damaged products.

*Other documents confirming the deterioration of the financial condition associated with the introduction of emergency mode.

5. How to apply for a respite?

An application for a postponement and documents confirming the deterioration of the financial condition due to the introduction of the state of emergency should be sent by e-mail or by any available means to the representative of the CAF in your region. After making a decision, representatives of the CAF will contact you.

6. How is the repayment schedule changed?

The postponement is drawn up without signing an additional agreement to the leasing / loan agreements, based on your application and documents confirming the deterioration of the financial condition due to the introduction of the state of emergency.

7. If I have several contracts, how do I apply for a deferment?

When filling out an application, it is necessary to indicate the numbers and dates of the loan / financial leasing agreements, for which a delay is required.

8. Is it possible to make partial prepayment during a deferral?

It is possible, while a new repayment schedule will be formed.

9. Is it possible to make full early repayment during a deferment?

It is possible that full prepayment is not prohibited.

11. Will fines / penalties be charged?

The penalty (fines and (or) interest) for non-payment of loans / leases for the period from March 16, 2020 to June 15, 2020 arising due to the imposition of a state of emergency (subject to the receipt of a corresponding application from the client) is not calculated.

12. From what date are applications for deferment accepted?

Applications are accepted from March 16, 2020 to June 15, 2020.

13. When will my deferral application be executed?

Deferral applications are considered up to 10 business days. The decision of the CAF will be sent to the client by e-mail or other source of communication.
