In Kazakhstan, this year they plan to increase the area under agricultural crops by 186.6 thousand hectares, bringing them to 22.8 million hectares. The Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov spoke about what kind of state support farmers will receive today at a government meeting  .

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 11.8 billion tenge has been allocated to support seed production in 2021. To date, 2.4 million tons of seeds have been planted, which is 0.2% more than planned.

26.1 billion tenge are allocated to subsidize the purchase of mineral fertilizers in local regional budgets. According to operational information from the akimats, 117.6 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have been delivered to farmers of the republic to date for spring field work.

“Today, applications for subsidies are being accepted in Almaty, Zhambyl, Kostanay and Turkestan regions. In the near future, applications will be accepted in the West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions. In other regions, the approval of lists and norms of subsidies is at the final stage ,” informed Saparkhan Omarov.

In addition, according to his information, 30.6 billion tenge are allocated for subsidizing pesticides in local regional budgets, which will ensure a favorable phytosanitary situation.

At the same time, the issuance of preferential loans continues. According to KazAgroFinance JSC, since the beginning of the year, the purchase of 1,112 units of equipment worth 24 billion tenge has been financed, including 458 tractors, 28 combines and 626 units of other equipment. Today, the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work is 97%. Preparations are proceeding as planned.

“To carry out activities to support subjects of the agro-industrial complex, the Agrarian Credit Corporation has been allocated a loan from the republican budget in the amount of 70 billion tenge for spring field and harvesting work. To date, the Ken Dala program has financed 1,326 agricultural producers in the amount of 48.6 billion tenge. Along with this, it should be noted that the Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture also finances spring field work, the volume of loans does not exceed 6 million tenge ,” noted the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.

This year the food corporation will almost double the forward purchase of agricultural products - to 45.6 billion tenge. To date, 74 agricultural producers have been financed in the amount of 14.3 billion tenge.

“It should be noted that this year the list of products purchased under forward purchase has been expanded from 4 to 9 agricultural crops. Along with wheat and barley, volumes of buckwheat, sunflower and other oilseeds will be contracted for the production of socially important food products and strengthening the feed base. In this regard, we ask regional akimats to take into account the preliminary distribution for the purchase of volumes of socially important agricultural crops by region when considering applications by the Coordination Councils ,” said Saparkhan Omarov.
