Record Leasing Volume: Farmers Acquired More Than 10,000 Units of Agricultural Machinery in 2025

KazAgroFinance JSC, part of the group of companies of Baiterek National Investment Holding, has summarized the results of 2025, which became a record year in terms of agricultural machinery leasing. During the reporting period, the company delivered 10,393 units of equipment to farmers for a total amount of KZT 268.9 billion, ensuring large-scale modernization of the country’s machine and tractor fleet, the company’s press service reports.

The key growth driver was the preferential leasing program at 5%, implemented on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It set the pace for machinery renewal in the regions and provided farmers with access to financial instruments on fundamentally new terms. In 2025, under this program, 6,395 contracts were concluded for the acquisition of 8,893 units of machinery totaling KZT 225.6 billion. In fact, the program became the main mechanism for the technological modernization of farms across the country.

Tractors traditionally remained the most in-demand equipment—more than 4,249 units were acquired in 2025 for KZT 104.8 billion. Significant demand was also observed for grain harvesters—807 units worth KZT 92.9 billion. In addition, farmers actively invested in seeders (794 units for KZT 8.9 billion) and seeding complexes (112 units for KZT 15.8 billion), indicating systematic renewal of production capacities.

At the same time, the company continues to implement its own AgroLeasing program with an interest rate of 12.6%. In 2025, this program financed the acquisition of 527 units of machinery totaling KZT 14.6 billion. The most sought-after items included loaders, headers, mounted equipment, harvesters, and mowers—machinery demanded by both large farms and medium-sized agricultural producers.

Regional dynamics confirm the high level of farmers’ engagement in the modernization process. The largest leasing volumes were recorded in North Kazakhstan Region—KZT 39.1 billion (116.7% of the annual plan), Kostanay Region—KZT 38.7 billion (115.6%), Akmola Region—KZT 36.8 billion (136.2%), Pavlodar Region—KZT 28.9 billion (101.2%), and East Kazakhstan Region—KZT 18.8 billion (101.6%).

Particular attention should be given to the growth in the share of domestically produced machinery. In 2025, it accounted for 91% of the total leasing volume, or KZT 245.7 billion.

Over recent years, the share of worn-out agricultural machinery in the country has decreased from 90% to 70%. This indicator reflects real progress in renewing the machine and tractor fleet and confirms the effectiveness of state policy in the technical modernization of the agro-industrial complex.

In 2025, KazAgroFinance JSC continued the consistent implementation of the President’s instructions aimed at accelerating the renewal of agricultural machinery, ensuring access to financing, and stimulating the use of domestically produced equipment. The company remains the key financial operator in the agroleasing segment, forming a sustainable foundation for productivity growth, higher crop yields, and strengthening the country’s food security.
