KazAgroFinance inventoried over 19 thousand units of agricultural machinery using AI

JSC KazAgroFinance, a leader in the agricultural machinery leasing market and part of the Baiterek National Holding Group of Companies, presented the first results of a new project aimed at significantly simplifying the process of inventorying agricultural machinery using artificial intelligence technology.

At the AWS Cloud Day for Public Sector Astana event, which was held at Nazarbayev University, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC KazAgroFinance Mars Alish reported that to date, over 19 thousand units of agricultural machinery have been inventoried using the embedded artificial intelligence in the online monitoring system for leased items. The project was developed in the spring of 2024 jointly with QCloudy, an official partner of Amazon Web Services.

With the automation system, which includes a web portal and a mobile application available on the AppStore and PlayMarket platforms, the company has significantly improved interaction with customers. One of the key aspects of AI implementation is the inventory of leased items, which previously required a lot of time and human resources.

Such inventory was carried out twice a year, which entailed high costs and risks of errors. Now, due to the use of solutions from Amazon, the process of recognizing leased items has been significantly accelerated: identifying one object from five photographs takes only 20 seconds. Inventory times have been reduced from three months to two weeks, which is a significant step towards optimizing business processes.

“Automation of inventory through the use of artificial intelligence can lead to increased efficiency, reduced risks and resource optimization. This experience demonstrates the importance of innovation in our operations and opens up new prospects for future development,” said Mars Alish.

Customers can now upload a series of photos of their items and in response receive information about external malfunctions, if any. This allows the company to more effectively interact with customers on issues of compliance with the terms of operation and storage of assets.

KazAgroFinance JSC intends to continue using effective solutions from Amazon in its work processes.
